Sonia Ferrer is the creator and designer behind DELBES Ibiza. From her atelier in the north of the island, she began shaping a project guided by one clear idea: to create in complete coherence with what she believes in and with the way she lives. That coherence has been, from the very beginning, the engine of her inspiration.
At DELBES, sustainability and quality are not an add-on—they are the starting point. The brand steps away from fast, disposable fashion to create timeless pieces, made to be worn for years, with carefully selected materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and a devotion to detail.
DELBES began almost 13 years ago through a long, demanding process in which Sonia poured every skill and experience into building the brand—slowly shaping a complete and coherent universe. The collection WABI-SABI (2018) opened the doors to this great dream.
The brand’s creative roots come from the traditional Ibizan costume and the ball pagès: its movements, drape, and forms are part of DELBES’ visual language. Respecting its origin, Sonia transforms it and brings it into the present through a creative process closer to making a work of art than producing a product.
Inspiration comes from many places—heritage, art, travel, and the people we meet along the way—but the centre always remains the same: craftsmanship as a way of making, feeling, and enduring.
HISTORY
Every piece, every pattern and every detail is finished by hand. DELBES is built on craft: a team of highly experienced Ibizan artisans, with deep respect for tradition and the making process.
Since 2018, we have been able to significantly expand our team thanks to the warm reception of a new way of seeing history, fashion and craftsmanship: creating with identity, with time, and with meaning.
Our goal is to move towards a 100% closed-loop production and recycling cycle. It’s an ongoing journey, and we work every day to go one step further.
